Baseball contracts are getting absolutely ridiculous. Tanakas looking like a steal right now

depends on Happ in my opinion. I dont think he can pitch in the AL and if I'm right...you're estimate of 83 wins is accurate. Otherwise...with Stroman back ... i can see this team getting to 90.
Thing about baseball is it it doesnt matter how good your team on paper is.Unless you're the Cardinals teams fall off year to year.
If I told you the Astros would've made the playoffs this year you wouldnt have believed it. Same with the Royals the year before. So time will tell...it wouldnt be the first time the Sox flopped
i hope not![]()
D'Arnaud would have learned the tricks from wily vet Martin and we would never need Navarro at all. It's amazing though isn't it.It was his choice![]()
Hes a top 10 pitcher earning generational wealthIt was his choice![]()
I know I know late career baseball deals are the worst, but I still am excited about this from my sawks standpoint
as a big prospect guy, price being a former #1 overall prospect and pick in the draft means he, if anyone, has the type of pedigree and skill set to carry on as he ages. he's a true act and has been consistently for years now. love him since he was a player at vandy
its all about supply and demandI can't believe out of all positions in all of sports the guy that stands on a mound and throws a ball gets paid the 30 mill. He doesn't even come into contact with a fukking opponent.
Left handed at thatits all about supply and demand
huge demand, not many very good sp's available

National League doesnt have DH and is more defensive minded than AL so I am a bit worried about Happ. Especially hes already mid-30 and had a out of the blue career year for the first time ever in his life. He absolutely dominated the Cardinals last season so much it made his w-l record and strikeout record gucci like that. Orioles, Astros, Angels, Rangers and Red Sox offenses might eat him alive. At least hes in Toronto, a squad where he can get enough run support behind him, and bail him out often enough when his ERA is 5 or more.
dikkey trade still pisses me off. With Syndergaard in Toronto, the Jays would never miss Price at allD'Arnaud would have learned the tricks from wily vet Martin and we would never need Navarro at all.
Stroman-Syndergaard-Estrada-Happ with Osuna/Cecil bullpen..decent enough.
Add one of Wade Davis or Aroldis Chapman and you are scary good.
Lol football is easily the most ingrateful towards its players. They treat them like slaves and severely underpay them. Role players get shyt for money, only brain damage and broken down bodies.
Star QBs get less than above average baseball players.
Hockey is a marginal sport outside Northern/Eastern Europe, remote Northern USA and Canada. The best defenseman in the league, PK Subban, a black man from Toronto, playing for Montreal Canadiens, the Yankees of NHL(they are the most influential and most winning organisation in NHL, biggest market team in the NHL arguably) only earns 9 millions a year. You add the heavy canadian/quebecer progressive tax system and he only gets 4 millions or so. You substract the food, electricity bills, etc...he has only 1.5 millions a year of disposable income.
David Price aint at the same level as Subban, not even close. NBA, your genetics already decide your fate and future. Nikka if you aint more than 6.3 tall forget about it. And you need heavy doses of natural outta this world athleticism. You need innate talent to succeed in the NBA way more than technical or mental skills.
Baseball players, lowkey, and well paid. Football players you get all the shine, but less paid. Rather have top money than groupies, and only soccer can provide both.
