In the black communities they might get some support, but also a lot of people clearly being uncomfortable and side-eyeing/whispering about them. Dawg, if you truly believe that homophobia isn't rampant in the black community because there are gay black men in church and black lesbians playing basketball I don't know what to tell you. Not giving someone a hug isn’t homophobia. There are gay men who run churches, just as well as gay men who frequent them EVERY Sunday. No one tells them they can’t come and worship.

You’re pushing for open acceptance/embracement, which would go against their religious principles. And hell, many churches do embrace them these days. Tolerance and respect is, and should always be, enough. If no one is telling you to get up and leave or disrespecting you, how is that “homophobia”?

Fact of the matter is, those men DID congregate in public wearing bras and Anthony clowned them. He was made to apologize shortly after which implies that that group of men in bras did have the license do with they did without being clowned.

This doesn't mean Anthony no longer feels the way he felt when he saw and filmed those men wearing bras but it DOES mean that he won't speak above a whisper about that kind of behavior moving forward because he understands that it will come with consequences.

There are, and have always been, gay black people in prominent and non-prominent positions in the black community. If you’ve been brainwashed by white folks, which it appears you have, you would think black people beat up every gay person they see. Ask yourself how many gay white or Asian people are constantly promoted to their communities compared to black people, and come back and tell me how black people are homophobic.

I ask you: what percentage of the Black population consists of "black female basketball players" who are gay? Do you not see the ridiculousness in trying to prove the contrary by using such a minute proportionate sub-group to talk about how the majority feels? How many Black people even know a gay Black female basketball player?
