You're tangling yourself up in knots.Black people are not a monolith; isn’t that what the basis of the argument is? Let that brother express himself
I can find a tweet from a black gay person saying all straight black men should die. Would it be fair for me to call their entire group violent misandrists?
For every one of those tweets, I bet you can I find 10000000000000x more similar comments about what Black folks say about gay people, and I wouldn't even need to leave this board to find them. Or do you seem to think that gay Black people are going around treating straight Black people in equal measure?
Are we supposed to just believe that 'half the people in Black church are gay' just because some random ass nxgga on a msgboard said so, not realizing that this motion of overcompensating only shows that he's subconsciously revealing that he believes there is in fact an issue with homophobia in the Black community? If he truly believed there wasn't, why would he need to go to an unnecessary extreme in the first instance?
I suggest you google the definition(s) of homophobia and go back to the drawing board on this.I see a few posters saying that Black people are homophobic, and I disagree. Gays are living quite safely in Black neighborhoods, because it’s now the norm to be gay in this world of today. We’re not homophobic, we’re UPSET that gays, no matter the color, have more rights than us, and that we’re pushed even further UNDER the totem pole of life, laws and society.
So homophobic? Nah, We aren’t scared of gays at all, that’s what phobia is. As a whole we’re scared of white people, but that’s another topic that no one want a to admit.
