Reddit as a brand and platform is so entrenched in people’s psyches...Think your hypothetical would be enough to catalyze a mass exodus from Reddit? Or would it be more of a slow burn, occurring over a course of several years?

It would take money, a clever campaign and a few other bits and pieces that I'm not just going to give away but its entirely possible if not inevitable as Reddit as it stands has immense barriers to entry for new users due to its "redditness" and how off that is in comparison to every other site experience on the net as well as a load of other easily correctable factors and avenues currently ignored.

Their concept is excellent, the execution is not and if my hypothetical is actualized correctly it could change the focus of social media by tipping it back toward the social and away from the media circus it has become which in turn would create a whole different something something.
