It really feels like a lot of companies and people believe Trump is finished. Twitter, Reddit, even Facebook is banning people now. It's like they know the DOJ is going back to normal in January 2021.

Free speech has reasonable limits; I don't know where this notion of unlimited, consequence-free speech comes from.
Hopefully they're right, but I don't like this 2016-esque confidence that Trump will lose for sure. The last thing people need to be doing is getting complacent.

This is asinine for a few reasons. Who wants to live in a society where access to goods and services are based on political opinions? Could you imagine conservative gas stations and liberal ones? Conservative restaurants and liberal ones?How soon before we're just calling for different countries?

Those platforms aren’t banning those people because they’re conservatives, they’re banning them because they’re either preaching hate, racism or white supremacy. Should they be banned for that if the owners do not agree with it? Yes. Don’t try to lump honest political disagreements with hate.
If you ban an entire forum, or in this case a subreddit, you're undoubtedly banning people who have not committed "hates speech". I've seen some of what get's called "hate speech" here, and if that's any indication of what's going on other platforms, then they are indeed censoring political disagreements.
