who would mod all the subs they re-open? they can hire people but mods usually have specialized knowledge for some niche subreddits .

would be hilarious if they did this as a way to create revenue then ended up having to spend money on a bunch of mods though

basically reddit has a trash app, so people use other third party apps to view it through, reddit is now trying to charge the companies that made those apps a crazy amount of money to access reddit. the companies ain’t paying/can’t afford to pay/don’t want to pay that much. users wouldn’t be charged, but the apps they use to browse reddit won’t work if they don’t pay.

so users are mad and locking up all the content they’re generating for the site for free.

I never even thought about using another app rather than the official one since it seems okay , any recommendations?

Reddit is Fun is a good one, but it will close down like all the others if Reddit gets its way.
Apollo is big on Apple devices but I haven't used it myself.

I barely use reddit on mobile. I have the slide app installed on like two devices but it's unmaintained. I've used various reddit frontends over the years tho.

teddit.net comes in handy when i want to save a reddit quickly.

so call it something else there are multiple subs dedicated to the same topics with a slight spin. say your sub is for one the court discussion only or whatever is needed to differentiate it

/r/anime_titties is a subreddit about world politics. you don't have to name it NBA for it to be about the NBA. put NBA in the description or tag line of the subreddit.

I respect the Subreddits that are staying private indefinitely. Anytime someone wants to boycott they do it on the slowest days of the week
