Facts them mods emotional and ban you for no reason, let all the weirdo incels leave with their 3rd party apps so reddit can be a lil more normal

i’m sure they could, but they’d just piss off their users more

Would probably be a violation of terms of agreement of using reddit. Even if you are the owner, you have to honor terms of use. Even if you want to change them, you still gotta give timely notice so users who dont like the new terms can have enough time to bush your service.

If they just chose to un-private subs, they would get sued out their ass.

:ohhh: I never even thought about using another app rather than the official one since it seems okay , any recommendations?

I use the official one too. Tbh, I never knew there were other Reddit apps until this debacle.

I don't even understand why they exist. The official app gives you all the functionality of the website. What else could they possibly be providing where people are this mad about not being able to access them?

Apparently 3rd party apps making modding way easier more so than regular browsing

They could just fukking BUY Apollo cause that default app is cancer

this isn't about a single app, this is about api pricing and new policies regarding api access. pushshift is no longer available to the public. I used that data daily to search the site. nsfw content no longer in rss feeds so new video marked nsfw wil no longer be accessible to users outside of the official app and website.

I know it’s about the API stuff but Apollo was the catalyst.

I find it ironic how the longer the mods continue to lockdown their subreddit the more sympathy and support they will lose since visitors will grow angry and complain about not having access to the locked subreddits.

This is literally going to have the opposite outcome for them.
