1) Once conserving the history of Hip Hop and it's legends started becoming a thing of the past, people having knowledge (which Doggie does, but I'll address him in the second part) no longer became a requirement. And that's when history started getting re-written or completely ignored/shytted on.
2) People wanting to give hot takes for clickbait purposes/trying to create controversy so they can get more impressions and interactions on their pages and channels

We gave Doggie the props too early. Dude thinks his opinion is facts.
Music has become worthless to the average consumer. You can pay $10 a month and have access to almost everything or work a little harder and find everything for free. Feel like you used to learn more about it and appreciate it and respect it more when you had to spend time and money to acquire it. Even if you were dubbing and bootlegging shyt that was still a commitment of time and money.
And now any dumbass with a webcam or an internet connection has a voice. And get rewarded for saying the dumbest or most controversial shyt possible
At least Doggie Diamonds is informed. He's more of a hip-hop historian that most of these vloggers.
As for Doc's the Name - I like a few songs, but overall it's just OK. Malpractice is trash. Either way, if someone called anything after Muddy Waters wack, I wouldn't argue. I could also see people not fukkin with Whut Thee Album

I mean, there’s no vetting process anymore. You don’t have to do anything to be validated, just own a camera and be willing to put yourself out there.
He says he doesn't like "weirdo" Redman, so he completely writes off Dare Iz A Darkside. I completely disagree, but I get it. Kinda. Opinions, a$$holes, etc.

Redman first three albums were certified classics. Doc's Da Name regardless of how Doggie Diamonds feel, is REDMAN'S MOST COMMERCIALLY SUCCESSFUL ALBUM. It was the album that earned him mainstream appeal and it was a solid album. You cannot dismiss Redman's initial run like that, and his run with Meth and Def Squad. You can criticize the latter years not being as good as his run in the 90's but most 90's rappers didn't transition greatly into the 00's, only a few being Nas, Jay-Z, Busta Rhymes and Fat Joe who had good runs in the following decade.
