The 90s was the best era...Those rappers have so many ill stories that will never be told....

Ask rapper today "how did you and MC Stinky Thong made this song?" and his response will be "He saw my picture on Instagram, and sent me an email of his verse. I sent the email to DJ 808 Overdose, and he put through Logic or FL Studio. Et voila"...:mjlol:

He can tell how good an era is by all the crazy and fantastic stories the artists of that era have to tell...

that's a pretty broad generalization breh.

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
Why rappers always have these outlandish stories about them battling 30+ nikkas ? :dead:

I heard one where they said Big L battled nikkas on Lenox for 24 hours straight :mjlol:
you gotta take what nikkas meant by battle

they wasn't lining up, 2 min rounds, 3 rounds a piece type shyt

back in the day you approach a nikka, spit a hot verse, they spit a hot verse, you move on... battles could be a 16 vs a 16

and most of the time, it's against bum ass local nikkas, so you know it wasn't even hard to do.... if you call yourself a rapper, and making millions off it.. i'm not gonna be surprised that you can spit 30 prewrittens... 15 since it was two of them... shyt 3 verses of 1 song and you already got 3 "battles"

I don't think so...

I am basing my opinion on the interviews I have watched...These new cats barely have any hip hop related cool stories...Sure they can tell you about shopping in France, running through the same industry hoes and such...

But stories that are hip hop related are very few from these new age rappers...Chief Keef met Young Chop on Facebook...:mjlol:That's the predominant theme

However, technically hip hop is better today than in the 90s...There is more variety...The producers are MORE talented and creative...The rappers are just as good lyrically, but they don't deliver as well...
The beats that are being made today are just :ohhh::blessed:

As a beatmaker, I have to disagree...Hip Hop production has evolved for the better...

We still have 90's type beats, but even those have improved...

Hip Hop's creativity has expanded...

I agree. It's why the producers are bigger names than the rappers nowadays. The golden era had cool beats, don't get me wrong, but it's cherished because of the people that were rapping over those beats.

Good point...Today's beats are so :blessed:That a rapper doesn't need to say much, but go with the flow...

Center self, inner self
I believe them. When I was 16, back in 2001, I had an older friend who went to Hampton U. He told me Method man went around campus one day, battling anyone who wanted to battle. Keep in mind my friend told me this back in 2001

That's cool I respect your opinion. When I say it's better I don't mean it in some disrespectful way because your right beat makers like rappers, have evolved
