If it wasn't self serving then why did he tell Mike Wise about it in the first place? Donovan is smart enough to know DC media and they were going to pounce all over that rejection. What did Donovan expect Bob to say once they did ask him about the meeting? He could've done all of this without letting it out. There's low key meetings between players all of the time.

He's going to have plenty of teams after him that's for sure. Bills Jets Jags Texans Titans Raiders Tampa Bay and St. Louis need QB help. He needs to pick the team with the most stability and one with a good line though. Griffin shouldn't go to the first team that offers him the best contract, he needs to go to a team with some structure and a decent core around him. If he has this and stays healthy he will shine for someone's organization. The talent is there for him to be an impact player somewhere. Even his second season was above average and I think if he departs it has more to do with his teammates not liking him and whatever rift he has with the team.
