I fail to see the relevance in pointing to a guy not winning "back to back".. 5 titles is 5 titles.. Duncan's a bball god.. you may even argue that it's even more impressive that, as the supporting cast evolves and changes, Duncan can still bring home rings in any era. "Back to back" may just imply that you were lucky enough to get in a really good situation for a short time then as soon as you were removed from that, you couldn't elevate your team anymore..
