They’ll compete until about the All Star Break and then pull a blatant tank job like they have for years now. If they actually tried, then they could compete for playoff spot.
They’re so fortunate to be a small market team no one cares about because to this day Stephen A. still rages on national television about “The Process” and how terrible it was for Philadelphia fans and the state of basketball, but never cares to bring up what’s going on with OKC

The problem with this is, Chet is a lot more mobile than Gobert and he came up during a period where there was more emphasis on being able to defend in space. It's the advantage that all these bigs who're entering the league now have (over those who've been in the NBA for a while), is that their development years have all been fighting to stay alive by being asked to defend more than just their position and in the paint.

As long as he stays healthy, he'll be able to defend just fine on switches. Don't mistake his awkward looking ass for not being able to defend on the perimeter.

Where are you seeing that? He’s never even played against NBA comp. And from what I’ve seen he looks hella slow. If you want to say he’s a fluid skilled player im with that. “A lot more mobile that Gobert”?

Nah I don’t see it.

I think Chet will be fine offensively, especially in OKC's system. That last part is the key - the system fits the top 3 went to seem ideal for what they all are.

When you think about the ball movement with Giddey, SGA and the shooting that Chet and SGA provide and combine that with their draft picks: Jaylin Williams ( 6'10, terrific court vision/BBIQ, perimeter and rim protecting defense) and Jalen Williams (wing player with more playmaking and iso) then OKC is looking real good right now.

I just want to fast forward 3 years to when he adds weight because he is hard to look at currently

This. I don't even want to hate on the kid (yet) but just looking at him feels like he's gonna break something at any given moment

KP was challenging everything in the paint prior to his injury when he was on the Knicks. Now, he's just a part-time defender.

2017 - #2 in contested shots
2018 - #4 in contested shots
2019 - ACL
And then fast-forward to 2022 - #21 in contested shots.

Early KP :mjcry:

Like I stated before he has a better upside than Shaun Bradley and Bradley went #2 in the draft
This is odd. Bradley was 7’6 and had specific mobility issues bc of it. Holmgreen is shorter and more mobile, but also playing in an anti-big man era. Not a good comp
