I've mentioned it in a few of the stickied threads but I wanted to give this topic it's own thread. Would you leave your current relationship to pursue a new/better job or school opportunity that's in a different city? What if he/she didn't want to do long-distance?

I might find myself in this situation in a few weeks, and I know what the right choice is for myself but it's still difficult. I'm not married and we have no kids so I know it would be a lot harder under different circumstances.

Could you see yourself marrying this woman? Could you see her being the mother of your kids? If the answer to either of these questions is anything less than a clear/RESOUNDING yes (and that includes maybe :usure:), then pack your shyt immediately. There are billions of women in the world, breh, but career opportunities only come by ever so often :ld:

i wouldn't leave my girl for a work opportunity.

But i'm sure she would come with me if the offer was that good.

If its meant to be you'll make it work.

My girl came with me and I told her quit her job and she finished her Bachelor's and got an even better job

It would be hard if he career was already in place

If it were me, I would put the relationship on hold, move and get acclimated to the new surroundings and then once i get settled I would refocus on my relationship. A "hold" can be whatever you define you two define it as but the last thing you want to be worried about is trying to maintain your relationship from a distance when you're not familiar with your surroundings.

I already told you what my thoughts on the matter are; I hope you make the right decision.
