Religious folks-Whose morality do you use when you ignore something in your religion?

If there is something in the bible you disagree with it...don't you wonder WHY you disagree with it?

Well again, you clearly disagree with some parts of the bible.

So you're not subject to the morality of the bible, nor do you take it seriously.

I dont disagree with Gods word. He knows more than me. I dont think you understand it very well though. I think you've given up on being moral and want to cater to your demonic thoughts in your mind because ultimately, when you reject God thats the only other alternative is the devil which is obviously, the wrong way to go. When you reject God it doesnt matter how much fancy words you use, all you're saying is, you want to be demonic without the responsibility of Gods morality. If thats what you want do that but friends will attempt to be good examples to God and repent when we fail to live up those those expectations.

My morality is derived from a desire to cooperate with other members of society and it evolves according to the needs of the society at large. A combination of humanism and utilitarianism.

Your morality is defined by a book that you don't even follow completely because you know it would land you in jail that same night.

the fact that you have to denounce it while at the same time praising atheism tells me you just came up with this conclusion that it was irrelevant/useless and ran with it

I think you should read the Bible (which you refuse to do) and actually understand it because when you just google keywords and cut and paste parts of Scripture with no context to the actual story of the Bible its easy to misunderstand what you're reading. You should listen a little more because you dont know what you're talking about basically, friend.

Why does it seem like Atheists always want to argue and poke holes in everyone else's religion rather than just enjoying not having one?

I have no problem with atheists, but its just funny that the people who don't believe in any religion are always the first ones to bring it up. And I find that most athiest know more about the bible than most average people but sadly they research it just so they can find flaws and contridictions to use in arguements later.

Everybody should just try to do the right things and try to be a good person.

the bible cant "force" morals on you its up to you to listen to yourself, to know right from wrong...which the bible talks about

i do have a bible i read from time to time when i have questions
its also a torrah and a quran in my house when i have questions we have all three

honestly the reason i dont follow it wholeheartedly is because i dont think im ready to dedicate myself as well as havin a set religion

after all morality is discipline imo and knowin the times we in...we both know alotta nikkas need discipline lolol

I am not without sin so i cant do that. I have to worry about my salvation and atonement for what ive done so i cant get caught up thinking about killing a woman who had premarital sex, because i have. Im wondering, whats God going to do to me friend because premarital sex, is wrong and has caused more issues in this world than abstinence and martial sex.
