I remember being in school and kids fighting, doing graffiti, and cursing out the teacher just for fukkeries sake or because the teacher was strict

Can you imagine going into a private sector job and your clients fukking up your office and getting violent with you just because they didn't like you? can you imagine being chained to your office and having to hold your pee for hours because you had to monitor your monitor?

All my friends who are parents post memes on fb talking about they can't wait until school starts back because they are tired of dealing with their own kids...

Starting salaries are lower but they increase quickly. I think in a lot of areas, you're tenured and making the bigger bucks after 2 years.

They are important. Personally my coach didn't really inspire me at all though unfortunately. But then again I didn't need inspiration because my parents actually parented. The majority of us as a community have lazy ass mothers who weren't prepared for motherhood and of course chased away the daddy. So the HS coach is the child's substitute Father. See all these HS sports movies lately in the past 10 years glamorizing that fact.

This is why union busters movements are hollering lately because of guys like this. A lot of PE teachers have a bad rep and they don't have nearly as much job security as a math or english teacher anyway though. PE budget has been cut by something like 25% in the past 25 years consistently. So that nikka will be first to go in hard times anyways

The problem is being a teacher isn't commission based. You get the same pay no matter the result even in private schools - But at least in the private schools a promotion is probably easier if you are a real "rockstar".

Even in private schools, most highly paid teachers are usually the top 1 percent of the profession and they are usually ex English professors and those whove earned doctorettes and other honours. These are Incredibly intelligent people who could be getting more in other industries but they chose to be a teacher because they like teaching the next gen or they hate the stress of their profession.

Most teachers don't make 80K a year. And if they do, they deserve every cent of it.

Teachers don't just show up to class at 8 and go home at 3.
They grade papers.
They tutor.
They prepare lessons.
They actually do work during the summers.
Often, they have to come out of their own pockets for school supplies.
And they're educating your stupid fukkin kids that you won't because you're tired from your job so you sit them in front of a tv or hand them an iPad and then you're outraged when they perform poorly and have no sense of the world or history.

Only a fukking a$$hole would complain about teachers having some sort of cushy gig.

This. My mother makes 64k with a masters after teaching for 10 years. She is ALWAYS working.
There are so many papers laying around her house it looks like a lawyers office.

All through elementary school and high school, these clowns were complaining about what a lowly unappreciated industry education is and how they all struggled.

The facts:
They only work 6 hours a day
They only work 8-9 months a year
They get full pension and benefits after they retire, something very few people in the private industry will ever get

And I'm checking the transparentcalifornia website and these disgruntled teachers are making base salaries of $80-$90k Sure, they're not "rich" but if you're a teacher and your spouse has even a menial job somewhere, you're easily in the top 10%. Cops make twice as much as you'd think they do too It's no surprise the government always has budget problems.

I'm amazed at how ignorant you are.
