That's where the real money is. Music stopped selling a long time ago. You do realize Kendrick Lamar's numbers would be considered a flop by Interscope even in the 2005 market. He sold pretty well and has the best album of teh year according to many tastemakers.
As far as the rest, they are indie. So if you ain't checking for them, they most likely won't be flooding your blogs, tv's or radios.

for real, clancy worked with interscope and did shyt with eminem when he was coming up in the game, them little shyts got very lucky.
It's kind of wild to imagine how much Odd Future is making versus how much they're spending compared to other people in the rap game. How much profit are they making off of their music, merchandise, and live shows? 
Same with the television show. How much would they really have to spend to create all that stuff? A lot of it is kind of...home video kind of stuff.
One can assume they're BANKING off that shyt.
Saw them live out in Royal Oak (last year, I believe). Very good live experience. Their fans go HARD.
