I hate these threads.

Stop saying (insert african group here) hates black people or AAs.

I'm Nigerian and love AAs. The majority of my black friends are AAs. Sometimes I wish I was AA instead of another African. LOL.

I think alot of foreign blacks are jealous of all the attention AAs get, which is why they hate while emulating AA style, slang, and culture at the same time. It's not like we can readily assimilate into any other culture here.

Growing up I just readily identified with AA culture, especially from hip-hop. I'll always support African Americans before anybody else and always will. I mean, shyt, we're in the same country, why should we be beefing over each other over cultural differences.

Don't think all of us Africans are like that. I've encountered some, and let them know I ain't on that :mjpls: fukkshyt. Infact, Afric00ns disgust me more than Caribic00ns.

Africans hating on African Americas? Why? That would be like me hating on distant family members.

Most of the Somalis I met were cool.

I feel sorry for any of my Black people that was raised predominantly around white people. That's gotta be a toxic environment as a youth. I'm glad that sis is self aware though & embraces her Blackness

I was.

The older I get, the blacker my circle has gotten.

When I ventured out into the world on my own and was living on my own I just ended up gravitating more towards black people. The majority of my bosses where black. The place where I got my first DJ gigs was black owned and operated.

Because of my background though I know white people all too well. IT's a blessing and a curse.

But don't get it twisted, I have been from the burbs to the hood. My family lived in Newark on my mom's side before moving to Atlanta, my aunt lives in the BX. I've seen both sides of the equation. Most black folk are only seeing one.

I will admit though, because of me hanging out with more black people and conversing with more black people I've been starting to become more "racist" towards white people. I'll admit that. As an African, I absolutely encourage AAs to see themselves above whites. You can either let the hate get to you, or bask in it and hold your place rightly as a king or queen.

When I stopped watching TV 8 years ago and started posting more on SOHH I started embracing my blackness and my heritage more and more. Seeing Obama in the white house everyday helped me alot for the past 8 years as well.

I am a proud African and will support black people before anybody else. Because of this forum, I can't even begin to soft shoe or force myself to comfort white prejudice IRL. I don't even want to work for white people. I don't even see them on my level.

Who me? A cac. not even close.
You're the one with cave dna. Why would I bother to name a conquest when you're proof of it. You're part Arab so you're a direct relation to your European cousins. That means Somalia was conquered.
:umad:
I bet you grow hair like ronaldinho claiming you full blooded when the whole world knows Somalia is more Arab league than African union.

That forum looks like a mirror image of this site. How many of those people are posters on this site? :sas2:

I was talking to a breh who came from West Africa as a 14yr old into USA into an all white neighborhood. The breh experienced so much prejudice And ignorance from the other kids it messed up his mental serious. He change the pronounciation of his name, began imitating the kids, trying to suppress his accent. He told me it was hard as hell. Now he is trying to heal from those years. It's hard for him because he feels like he wasn't accepted and I can tell his confidence is not where it should be.
