He's a franchise talent, not sure what his ceiling is beyond that, it depends on how hard he works. I said it when I watched his games at Duke, he was a much better passer than Coach K let him be, I thought he was a perfect fit for what the Sixers already had, and while I think Simmons will be good I like Ingram better since he can shoot.
I thought this year would be mostly about development & getting his body ready while @Dwight Howard said he'd average some shyt like 15/6/5
I'm shocked at how smart this dude Ingram is. His defense is dam near lock down status as a rookie and he's rail thin. I thought for sure he would be killing on offense and be a liability on defense but I saw in summer league that it would be the other way around. He's handling the ball and initiating the offense and making the extra pass on offense. You know how many times I was like

if you remember correctly, I only pulled up the interior defense numbers in response to you criticizing Julius' interior defense. I was making the point that Jabari is in the same boat defensively.So, teammates only matter on defense, they don't matter on offense, since Randle plays with better shooters than Parker does that doesn't seem to factor into your equation but when we talk defense you quick to bring up teammates? These percentages weren't negligible when you were using them to paint Randle as the better defender, they weren't negligible when you tried to use them to make your point.

and while Randle does play with better shooters, I dont think that closes the gap in their respective playmaking abilities. Dating back to last year, Jabari has had only two 5+ assist games. Julius had 4 alone this season, and the trends seems to being going up. Even if you ignore stats, Randle is much more impressive locating shooters, collapsing the defense, and kicking out. He creates shooting opportunities in both transition and halfcourt play

I would have taken Ingram 1, I liked his game a lot at Duke, didn't know how he'd fit with the Lakers since he's probably going to be like Wiggins where his best position is the 2, but they'll play him at the 3 since he's so tall/long. The offense will come around, the defense and decision making for a just turned 19 year old are incredible though, he's going to be the best player on that team by his 3rd or 4th year when he's around 220-230lbs.
