The removal of consent decrees actually gives more power (and accountability) to state and city officials and in the case of Chicago might be a positive because of the newly elected Governor(JB Pritzker) and Attorney General(Kwame Rauol, although I voted for bae Erika Harold) in Illinois. And it also made the upcoming Mayoral election in Chicago that much more important.

Of course consent decrees have substantial positives too but if you think its the end all be all to police reform...its clearly not
