I'm just not a revisionist and you are who you are whether dead or alive. She could barely sing and she couldn't dance, the things that make great r&b entertainers. She was the Ashanti of that era, both good looking but lacking in any talent, Ashanti can could write though.

That's your self opinion, thats how you felt..but in history its millions don't agree with you. Also being a fan of her music doesn't mean you can disrespect her as a person. Let the dead rest in peace, why disrespect a dead female calling her names, the names u called her had nothing to do with what you felt about her musical.

Her last movie was a flop because she wasn't able to complete it nor promote it. Her last album is double platinum and debuted number 2 on the charts. It didn't have a strong first week but Rock The Boat was going to push the sales. The label fukked up by not having Rock The Boat as the first single. Aaliyah's career was ascending before she died. She was starring in movies when no other female in R&B was doing so.

Your argument isn't making sense and actually proves my point ... Her last album is only double play when it dropped at a time when album sales were still high and got the entertainers death surge. At the time of her death that album was out of the top 50 and RTB wouldn't have saved that album.

Her not finishing the movie had nothing to do with that movie flopping either, again, that movie got the dead entertainers push. Most movies don't have legs and that first week is usually the recoup. I will give her props for having the foresight to transition into movies though.

Face it, she just wasn't popping like that at her death.

We can agree to disagree. At the time of her death she was the biggest chic in R&B imo. She was the only 1 doing movies, I'm sure if Pac was around to promote Gridlock'd it would've been even bigger numbers wise.
