13 Years gone. I was 21, Aaliyah is my age so I really feel like I grew up with her. Honestly between Brandy, Monica and Her, I think I wanted her most growing up. I loved all 3 music's but Aaliyah just had something different. Maybe a little more edge. I mean she had rappers from Biggie, Jay, NaS, DMX all giving her the co-sign. Missy, Timbo and Her made magic.

Like every time I hear her voice it's just angelic and it takes me back. Did she have the most powerful voice? NO but she's in the Tradition of Janet and Sade. She was like the new school quiet storm voice. 3 albums and all them joints was fire. Dropped 2 back to back Classics. "One and A Million" 18 years later still stands as one of the best RnB albums of all time. Her legacy only gets stronger and now we are seeing Aaliyah influence in the game. I leave you with a Throwback Aaliyah Classic from Timbo's album. Peace Baby Girl.
