Yahoo Sports reports that the Cleveland Cavaliers have made a two-year, $24 million offer to free agent center Andrew Bynum. The second year of the deal is a team option, making it essentially a one-year, $12 million deal from Bynum's perspective. The Cavaliers met with Bynum on Monday, and want an answer quickly. Bynum, naturally, thinks he's worth more and may let the offer pass. But with his injury history, the Cavs are right to keep the offer low.

Bynum missed the entire 2013 season with knee injuries, including one sustained in a bowling incident. Known for his incredible athleticism and unbelievable maturity, or maybe it's the other way around, Bynum is the ultimate risk vs reward debate in this free agent class. Bynum has given teams assurances he can play next season, but there's been no update on his condition in months, and Bynum is not working out for teams.

Cleveland would give Bynum a low-pressure environment to integrate back into playing shape without a lot of pressure from media or fans. The team is still in a rebuilding mode, but also has weapons in Kyrie Iving and Dion Waiters.

We'll have to see whether Bynum thinks this is the best he can do or if his pride wins out.
