Optimistic But I Got Hands Tho
the cavs need to spend 90% of their capspace anyways, why is this a bad idea?

You can't expect the average fan to understand this. Cavs have 15 million left in cap space that has to be used next year or they have to surrender it. This is a no brainer for them.

Plus his contract is incentive laden. He won't even get all of the 12 million if he doesn't play a certain amount of games.

should the cavs really be shooting for that when you have a talented draft class coming up.

I'll say tank again get a top 5 pick and go from there.

While id usually agre and im all for getting a high pick this year i think there already too talented for a top 5 pick and will be a late lottery team the way theyre currently constructed anyway so you might as well go all in..plus its low risk high reward

Its 12mm for a guy that likely isnt gonna play

Thats a gamble... maybe a smart one but lets call it what it is

But lets be real here...If Bynum plays and is healthy then they are playoff bound. If they use that money on any other available free agent(s). They likely miss the playoffs again. :manny: really not much to lose when your at the bottom already.

Yep, would be a great signing for them

I think this is a great move for the Cavs. If Bynum is motivated (huge IF) then you're snagged a valuable asset for cheap and all but guaranteed a playoff spot. If he's on some bullshyt again this year then they can cut him and still have a lot of cap room next year. And if Bynum is playing good then you get another year to evaluate him at a good price. If he can go 2 years without damage then go ahead and sign him to that big deal.

I would honestly rather have a healthy Verajo, but he had a season ending pulmonary emboli last year right? we'll see how he fares, not an easy for a typical pt to recover from but he's young and healthy :yeshrug:

Great move by the Cavs. They have nothing to lose. 2 year deal for a top 3 center when healthy. Don't pick up the option if he don't come back healthy his first year. If he comes back healthy, pick up the option, move players to make way for LeBron.

2014 potential

Pg - Kyrie, Jack
Sg - Waiters, Karasev
Sf - LeBron, Felix
Pf - Bennett, Clark
C - Bynum, Zeller, Vet

That's a good team right there.

Anyone else think Bynum has been healthy but just said fukk it and took the rest of the season off? I don't think he got any major knee surgeries this past year.

Oh and of he's semi healthy he'll average 25 and 12.

Theres absolutely nothing wrong with this offer even for a nikka like bynum. If it doesn't work out he's gone next year.
