I dont believe LeBron will play out his career here. Just how he's forcing the Cavs to try and win a ring ASAP, basically forcing them to overpay Tristan Thmpson, trading away a #1 pick with franchise potential to acquire a player who's already maxed out (as far as peak)...he's trying to win a ring quick as hell and not build at all. Why? I believe because he's gonna eventually leave when he wins.
I'll admit when Im wrong down the line...but we have to wait and see. If LeBron brings a Championship to Cleveland, he's gone imo.
Lebron is 12 years into his career. Why would he choose a 19 year old player (even if he is a phenom) over an established star player? The public at large have already made the decision that nothing Lebron does matters beside winning championships.
Why would he not place himself in best position to win championships? MJ threatened to retire on the spot in 97 over a Pippen for McGrady deal, and Scottie was on the decline. The intelligent thing for any star in his 30s to do is to surround himself with younger players. He had a decidedly older team in Miami that would have had to do a lot more work to revamp the team around him to stay in contention for the duration of his prime.

But nikkas know Im literally from Cleveland and I dont have to rep the teams for people to know that, and the reason is because I've always put on for the city. Im not from Painesville, Cinci, Youngstown, Toledo, Dayton, Columbus, Akron, Mansfield, Springfield, etc. Im from Cleveland.
105 & Empire from birth until 8th grade. Moved to Euclid and then Bedford for 9-12. Moved back to Cleveland after graduating HS and just moved back out to Bedford 2 years ago.

However, I just posted the news article because it was an interesting storyline & never mentioned anywhere in this thread that LeBron shouldn't or was not going to sign with Cleveland based on Tristan Thompson's contract negotiations. I only stated that Thompson wasn't worth the max & up to this point the Cavs probably seem to somewhat agree.
