that ain't it.

that's an unofficial bootleg episode I tossed together (check the .nfo file and run a CRC check, it'll fail since i just took high quality rips of various 12 inch tracks and put them together.)

the real cop n go lp was set to drop in early 98 on qwest records but was shelved for some reason.

it got a brief mention the source back then and two of the tracks from it were featured in the fat tape section, "make me wanna holla" and "w.e. gonna get this money". another track "M.B.P." was mentioned in a brief excerpt about upcoming albums along with the other two tracks.

after that it was never mentioned again. it's crazy how the rare ass ghetto chroincles daily episode has hit the Web but a release on a major hasn't even leaked in promo form. I heard that qwest folded around that time and thats why the lp was shelved but who knows other than the group themselves.

i'm still looking for it to this day. I heard years ago that Minnesota was gonna remaster Ghetto Chronicles Daily and re-release it but that was like 6 years ago and still nothing.

i can't agree with Big Mel at all, GCD is dope as fukk. they ain't got a joint with the death row beat on there, he must be thinking of "Area Code 212" joint that i put on the Cop N Go bootleg EP that has them spitting over the "Blunts & Tangueray" beat. that shyt is dope too though, that was a doo wop mixtape special along with "Dollar Bill". wop was always putting money boss on his tapes since tariq was part of his bounce squad crew and they were all bronx nikkas.

GCD is ill, those beats are :whew: and the lyrics are hard hitting. and according minnesota only something 200 copies were made of Ghetto Chronicles Daily that's why it's so expensive.

there's tons of sub-par mid 90's hip-hop that is overpriced exponentially and selling for way too much cash but GCD definitely isn't one of them.
