Legendary songwriter and musician. I had no ideal Maurice had parkinsons. All of the 70's legends are starting to pass.

Damn man . As an EWF stan, this shyt is sad. Dude was a masterful composer and songwriter. To me, them, The Ohio Players, and P-Funk are the GOAT bands of all time regardless of genre, and All N' All is a GOAT album.

I actually thought of Lakeside and Cameo after I posted. Damn shame what happened to the drummer from ConFunkShun . He seemed like a real stand up dude. I think that case is still unsolved. War? So them at yearly festival that comes here. Them dudes put on a SHOW. Lonnie Jordan seems like a real cool cat, and had us rolling the whole time. When they played Why Can't We Be Friends, this biker looking white dude was going around dapping and hugging everybody . He was cool as shyt. Smoked a couple j's with him and his wife. EWF was there on a different day, but I missed them cuz I had to work.

To say that this guy influenced me would be an understatement, a true maestro, fumbling through my father's records as a kid; EWF record covers would always have me .....even the images were trying to nudge you in the right direction.
