It’s annoying but the convention is that you tip on takeout orders. It’s not supposed to be the same amount that you would dining in. Like around 10%.

I have no problem tipping when it's really worth it, i.e service was really good, waiter was cool, whatever. But the idea that you HAVE to tip is ridiculous. That's what I like in most of continental Europe, service is included in the price you pay. If you don't give anything extra no one cares, that's what you're supposed to do. If you DO give something it's considered extra and a nice gesture.

I agree. tipping for a pick up order is bullshyt. they not even bringing that shyt to your car like mcdonald's will do for free when u order thru the app.

now if they feel they need to add on an extra fee, raise the prices. don't nickel and dime me on "convenience fees" and tips.

speaking of tipping, another thing I hate is when u go into some of these smaller businesses where you pay by ipad essentially, and the big ass "TIP" screen comes up and they turn the ipad around for you to sign.

they essentially shaming u into tipping cuz the gratuity screen is large as fukk and most likely there's people behind you in line who can see whether or not you tipped and how much u gave. that's bullshyt.

where does this entitlement come from?

The Buffalo Wild Wings app automatically puts a tip on your order, and gives you the choice of giving 10, 15, or 20% as options I think. You gotta manually go in to choose a different amount just to put in 0% (don’t even have an option for “no tip”). That shyt kills me every time.

If you're not careful when ordering online, the tip option is automatically enabled on most restaurant websites. and is usually set to the mid range % or high range

I calmly move the tip slider to 0% continue checking out. The fukk they think this is

Yea I tip them like a $1 on my to go orders as an appreciation, but I’m not giving them a 18%-20% tip as if I was being served and waited on. fukk that.

I usually order from this asian spot online, and I tip a dollar or 2.
