There a major conflict between the workers quitting, owners not paying more, and consumers still wanting the same luxuries/experiences.

Most fast food places have closed their dining rooms and the drive thru lines are ridiculous. I try to avoid fast food for that very reason but sometimes it’s the only option.

Good luck trying to get any help at a retail store too. shyt is crazy out here.

This shyt is only gonna get worse as we enter the holiday shopping season.

What’s going to be the end result of all this?

More money and marketshare for Amazon.

Yes, we as Black men been dealing with poor customer service for a good minute. That's why so many others are just now beginning to catch it. But people can't seem to connect the dots until it's too late.
I'm always polite with staff and firm/clear when I give them my order (No "Um's/Uh's).

Sometimes I still get the attitude from them.

Went to checkers the other day. Now, they’ve always been piss poor about getting people through the drive through, but it’s ridiculous now. You’re going to spend a good 45 mins to an hour in line waiting.

ATL, but rasied in DMV
Nothing worst than spending 45 minutes to an hour in the drive-thru, then pulling off with some unfresh fries, an unfresh burger with cold buns and mayonnaise, and a watered down drink. Just having one of the three is enough to piss you off after waiting that long, not to mention they went up 2 dollars. Then they act like you're wrong for acknowledging it, even when you're calm about it. Then they have the tendency to over stack your container when the fries are at their most unfresh, but fill your container only 3/4 when the fries are at their freshest.

I have to laugh at some of these folks who keep trying to included rude customers, when complaining about poor working conditions. You do have some rude ones here and there, but most of them aren't. But if you keep giving out bad attitudes and low quality food, along with rising prices, after long waits, then what in the world do you expect. Like you never been a customer? And you're fooling yourself if you think giving these employee more money, with already poor attitudes, will make them treat customers better. Most of time it's the customers who keep the workers sane. Down here in this backwards part of Atlanta, some of the employees act like the customers work for them, especially the Black male customers. And they're quick to let you know the cops will be there in a heartbeat to make another George Floyd out of them.

To make a long story short, the problem started with management and employees, and not with the customers. And they're gonna have to fix the problem where it started, unless they really don't want to...it's starting to seem that way.

That’s the point I was making. People keep saying “it’s always been bad”. No shyt. Im saying shyt is way worse now. Ironically when I created this thread I was in my car at a Wendy’s drive thru that I sat in for 40 mins because I didn’t have time to go home and cook before going to an event.

Yea, Wendy’s is another spot where it’s terrible now, and if you decide to go to any of these places after 8pm, you’re spending an hour in the line.

My child’s mother; her mother, likes Captain D’s and asked me to pick her up something. It was 7:30, and they were already closed, and of course it was due to labor.

So Cal
Honestly there's no food on this planet worth more than a 20 minute wait, when I here people waiting in line 30+ minutes for food I always think immediately their lives must not be that important to have that time to waste

Probably would cost too much atm to install self serve systems everywhere and maintenance. Still prolly cheaper to hire employees.

Especially with the chip shortage.

And plus, it’s incredibly hard to fully automate fast food because people can’t effectively use the tech without issue. Too many things can go wrong.

Here’s a perfect example, one of the newest McDonalds to be fully renovated. Self service kiosks everywhere, app integration, etc.

Chic fil a is the only place where I can pull up to and u have a ton of workers come up to u and take your order and the line go quick

go to Wendy’s in certain areas u waiting a good 20 minutes

Chick-Fil-A pays their workers decent. Other fast food places didn't learn shyt, and now they paying for it.

Its time to unionize fast food workers
