Yall dismiss stuff like this, but Its gonna be bad for our grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Hell, its already getting bad for our kids. I got a 5 year old and anytime I see stuff like this it makes me think how hard its going to be for her to even find a part-time retail or fast food job 10 years from now.

When I was 16, I could easily find a job at the mall or McDonalds but with technology taking over all those types of jobs are being replaced with technology.
Or... maybe you can enroll your kid in classes to learn programming and by the time she's a teenager, she may be SELLING her creations. Think bigger for your legacy (kids), fast-food and retail gigs are low-hanging fruit. Barely a level above grocery cart wrangler.

starting car waiting in traffic going to the mall, looking for a place to park. Walk from car to inside the mall, find item i want have to wait in line to check out. Head to car start car and drive home, realize I really don't want the item anymore, repeat every step but wait longer for the customer service line.

OR go to amazon sign into account add to cart, receive item the next day or two days max, open box, realize I don't want item, print return label pack up in same box drop at my local post office

So either way you have to get in your car and drive somewhere

Will those 10-20 extra minutes you spend looking for a parking spot and walking inside really kill you?

Do you need to be on the Internet that much that walking from your car to a door and standing in line to check out is a chore? :mindblown:

If you can't transition to digital.... You deserve to die.

All these dinosaur ass businesses who refuse to adapt..... fukk em.

Same thing happened to music.... They had to adapt or literally die... Now we got streaming

Society aint gonna go backwards. Technology is gonna swallow up MORE industries.

And you act like this is a good thing.

If you work in retail long term you lost.

If you can't do STEM and can't do management you lost.

No other way to put it.

This is such bullshyt.

There are plenty of non stem jobs where people can support themselves. And if everyone does stem don’t you think it will create a situation where there are too many workers and not enough jobs?!

For people who don't live close to decent malls, shopping online is convenient. Sometimes, the cost of shipping is better than the gas, tolls, packing up kids, going out in the freezing cold, etc. You can also do more shopping in a shorter time period. It could take all day going from store to store buy food, clothes, tools, electronics, etc.

How can people shop without seeing and touching the item first. I hate trying on clothes but I be damn if I order a shirt and it comes in to big or small. Now I gotta wait to get a next one and hope it's right?

Nah I'll pass

That’s damn near the only logical thing you must go inside the store for but even then I will order 2 sizes and send the one that doesn’t fit back

What makes you think most kids gonna like programming... or even have access to the resources to become adept at it... what elementary or jr high teacher is gonna teach the inner city youth the joys of coding?

These nikkas really hate social interaction. Im guilty as a prime member and online shopper but thats if im at work bored browsing my phone. If im home ill go to the store or mall for bullshyt just to get out for fresh air and cardio. Its crazy tho cuz the youngings walkin with their heads down in the phone like eye contact causes herpes or something
