I agree with King Comma Splice aka The Artful Dodger aka Art Barr the goat I was so disappointed with hollow ass cornball album. Hardest fukking beat is basically an iTunes snippet?

Its weird

To me Jay is at his best when he is not trying

Granted, back in his "Original Flavor" days he had a funny little wave. But him biting IWW Nas & OB4CL Rae's whole aura was the best thing for his music. He absolutely mastered the effortless flow. When I think Jay I think his verse on "What You Think Of That"

Since Ether he has all but abandoned that effortlessness, pursuing these strange Euro Gilbert Godfrey inflection "hey new hot nikka can I borrow your flow + inflections" to try and reinvent himself, and dissociate himself from the streets... the streets that gave him the content and flows that got him where he is

I do need to say tho, Bey on Part II....

yup i totally agree he is forgetting what got him here which is that gutter music.
