So op would you rate this higher or lower than yeezus? I personally rated this album a 3.5/5. I only found one song unlistenable but I do wish he would distance himself from the usual suspects production wise because timbo is hit or miss, so is swizz. He and pharell make good music but I liked what he did with american gangster, we need some new blood and just blaze to make something truly classic, not the same ol guys. I would have loved to hear ski, justice league, blaze, alchemist or any number of producers that can make him sound fresh. Regardless I still liked the album, I just want him to go for a different sound.

Hmmnn..

I agree with the premise and disagree with some of the actual points

My expectation for a Jayz album in 2013 is very low .. I also believe a lot of the end result
Is the production and direction of the album since jay is more dependent on his flow than most

That being said the album is not bad.. Just not great..... for JayZ

But we're talking about an artist who's made I dunno how many albums & features etc

At this point he's had his run.. To me people need to let go of the past and move on

Stop expecting old Barry Bonds to show up and knock 50 homeruns out the park

If he gets a couple hits.. Good for him since his actual peers (in reality) are people like Big Daddy Kane & Kool G Rap

I rate it 3.0/5 overall

I agree with King Comma Splice aka The Artful Dodger aka Art Barr the goat I was so disappointed with hollow ass cornball album. Hardest fukking beat is basically an iTunes snippet? :what:

That pissed me off :stopitslime:

you know what,...
Now, I think about it...
The interludes being the dopest production wise is possibly like the interlude on bp being the best produced record.
Or similiar to volume iii's ah ah ah ah,...style interludes.

This time he just gave you all of them.
Instead of just getting two and having to search for the last one like volume III.

Im not making this up its all on tape fam

Dead presidents(single)-Released February 20, 1996
Reasonable doubt - Released June 25 1996
IWW- Released July 2 1996

Does not compute. :why:
Seriously, I'm not a fan of being smug on message boards, but it's hard to take dudes seriously when you can't even get the basic facts (that are fundamental to your debate) right.
As it turns out, you did infact make this up.
I would have agreed if you said the mafioso styled theme was influenced by cuban linx, but what you said was absolute nonsense, sorry if I come across rude :ld:
