My Pops Forever RIP
I don't necessarily if you do it once, but Revis was unprecedented levels of bullshyt.

He held out on a contract that he held out on to get.

So he refused to play til he got a new deal, they gave him a new deal, then the next year he refused to play on the deal that he just got by refusing to play.

Is he smart, hell yes. Good for him that he got as much as he could, but i don't got a lot of respect for that. Sorry, i just don't respect someone who has that little integrity or commitment to their word.
So how do you respect any NFL contract?

I don't respect someone who holds out every fukking year.

Like you signed a contact a year ago, that you now won't hold up.

That's flaky shyt, and he always been a flaky dude. And his sad sack eeyore poor old me shyt is quite pathetic.
Good 4 u dude. U be a model citizen and a good boy while Revis get money.

And at corner?
Im really trying to figure out in what world does the best cornerback in a generation that was pass happy, where the rules didnt favor cornerbacks, and yet he still was an all time performer, not make the HOF?

Im also not sure where this longevity nonsense comes from? The Pro Football HOF celebrates the best players, not those that played 150 years.

shyt, Terrell Davis been a HOF finalist a bunch of times despite only playing 5 years before the injuries. Think about that.

People are stuck on stupid.

And longevity is part of being the best and it always has. Where are you getting it doesn't matter? :dwillhuh:

You have corners currently in their 30's playing at a relatively high level while Revis is outright horrible. He's only 31. Longevity has always mattered. Davis won't get in the Hall while guys like Bettis have

I think TD is a really good comparison for Revis. Revis' 2009-2011 is on par with any CB ever. He was that good. Injured in 2012, rehabbed in 2013 with TB, won the SB in 2014 and back with the Jets in 2015 to now. He really wasn't the same player after the torn ACL in 2012(though not bad) and his level has fell off a ton this year.

Does being the best CB in the NFL for 3 years make you a 1st ballot hall of famer? I doubt it. He'll get in though.

Guy makes a lot of money, get's the one thing his money can't buy, a superbowl ring...then suddenly becomes bad and now doesn't want to play?

Sounds like somebody who should be nominated for GOAT black athlete to me

I think there's a lot of factors involved. He suffered a concussion last year and really hasn't been the same guy since. He also said he saw that Will Smith movie and it affected him personally. Is that in his mind when he looks to avoid tackles? Maybe. He also had wrist surgery in the offseason and came in noticeably overweight. Do I think he could move to FS if he dedicated himself and got back in really good condition? Sure. I don't really think he wants to anymore.

So you must love Brock Osweiler right?

I guess i`ll be a fake one, or whatever goofy shyt that's cool to say these days.

I don't applaud millionaires backing out of contracts to be bigger millionaires, sorry.

I don't mind getting paid for the work you put in, but Revis wasn't that kinda guy.

But you applaud billionaires cutting players before they finish their deals despite them risking their lives to play a game . Stfu

its never mattered.

You cant be great for 3 years and fall off, but all you need is a dominant stretch. 5-6 years, and you in. Dwight Stephenson made the HOF at fukking center despite playing just 7 years.

ITs never mattered. Dominance has always mattered. And cornerbacks have tended to fall off at this point in time.

Your dislike of Revis has blinded you. And don't tell me you don't because I have read your posts for years. You don't like him.

He was the best for 3 years, and among the best for 7 years. He a HOFer and probably first ballot.

We'll see. First ballot id be shocked, especially since the writers will dock him for phoning it in these two seasons with the Jets along with his interception total being low. He's had a unique career.
