Good for him

Made what, 100 million or more in his career including endorsements, won a ring, most likely will be in the HOF.

Why keep playing and risk injury? :ehh:

Revis seem like a pretty smart dude. He gonna live nice in retirement

Depends if the writers value peak over longevity. The nickname certainly helps too.

Law isn't in yet and Bailey is borderline so he probably falls into that category. He won't get in on the first ballot. It doesn't help that guys like Newman and PAC man are still playing at a relatively high level. The guys who are in played into their mid thirties too.

It really depends. IMO his 2009 season was one of the greatest I've ever seen. At his peak, he's clearly a Hall of Famer. I wonder if they will hold his low interception count against him. He has 28 for his career. Mike Haynes has the lowest INT count for a HOF DB and he's got 46.

That and the fact that he's totally washed up at age 31. It's an interesting conversation.

Just a few hours after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers released him, Darrelle Revis has agreed to terms with the Patriots on a two-year, $32 million contract, according to NFL Media's Albert Breer, per a Patriots source. ESPN first reported the news.

The team officially announced Revis' deal Monday.

The deal truly amounts to a one-year contract. Revis will get $12 million in 2014, and the team has a $20 million option for 2015. That figure will force Revis and the Patriots to revisit the contract a year from now; there's no way they'll pay him $20 million. Breer reports that the Patriots have designs on eventually locking up Revis with a long-term deal.

Yep, ignore the Jets holdouts. Smart move dweeb

I honestly don't think he deserves to go in, while he shined bright, he didn't shine for long.

Look at guys like Rod Woodson, dudes who switched positions, played great until damn near 40.

Revis ain't even like Pat Willis, who played around the same amount of time, but was beastly every year. And i doubt Pat gets into the HOF

And Revis is only 31. He's had a bizarre career. The guys who got into Canton at corner all played well into their 30's. Revis is done at 31.

Does he even deserve the Hall?

2 wasted years at the end of his career in NYJ, a lost year in Tampa. Injuries.

He is best known for being a great for a short period, and bytching about his contract.
you two are fukking idiots or just haters.

Revis is a fukking HOFer you idiots. First ballot if he retired right now. fukking meatheads mad that he got every penny.

I can respect that argument. Looking at his stats:

5X 1st team All-Pro
7X Pro Bowler
1X AFC DPOY

It doesn't really blow you away.

Two recent guys with high peaks but shortly sustained are Warner no Terrell Davis. Neither are in yet and they have league MVP's and Super Bowl MVP's
