People are ridiculous about Sanchez. Go back and look at those playoff runs, specifically the AFC Championships and he was one of the better players (for those games) on the field with almost no talent on offense. They just ran into much better teams. I remember all season they would talk about how "tough" Mark was going into big games against good teams and laying an egg but that he he would bounce back the next game and show resilience. The dumbass storylines created by sports media is hilarious. Mark was a serviceable QB on a shytty offense with no talent. He's not great but at his best, he is good. We have seen him make play with talent around him in Philly and he made some great runs. Its just easy to shyt on him after all that happened w/the Jets. Kept him on a short leash to game manage his first year and lackluster receivers. Got better but avg at best recievers the next year that he actually grew with, then the year you say that you will "take the reins off him" and open the playbook to let him grow with the recievers he did have, you trade them away, let Thomas go and made the team the most one dimensional offense in the league with no talent whatsoever. The Jets and Ryan are QB killers. It wasnt exclusive to Sanchez. Geno and Vick showed that.

Sanchez's average QB rating was less than 70 between 2009 and 2010. In other words, he was worse than Geno in his first years respectively.Rex got to back-to-back championship games by taking the ball out of Sanchez's hands. Sanchez could never score efficiently enough to win a Superbowl.

Yeah the San Diego game and the Colt game he did what he had to do and drove the Cadillac
One drive doesn't make for a great game. Especially when it built off the backs of a great defense keeping them in games.

Thomas Jones was in the top 3 in rushing and ranked 40th in broken or missed tackles. That's how GREAT the Jets o line was. Not Sanchez

No he wasn't. The o line was. He was horrible....they just didn't need him most games
So how the hell did they get to the title games then?

They didn't have no 85 Bears defense..

They got there cause they ran the ball played solid D and he made very little mistakes..

nikkas don't wanna give this dude any credit at all :mjlol:

Sanchez deserves some credit..
The Jets are QB killers.. Great O line?? They were good.. I don't see any Hall of Famers on it..

Alan Faneca was their best lineman but he got old..
A young Nick Mangold he is nice..

"We almost made it [in 2009 and ’10], and we didn’t have a quarterback," Revis said in a cover story for Sports Illustrated. "Mark was solid. He wasn’t elite."

So one sentence you don't have a QB and another sentence you say he's solid? :what: Not every team can have an "elite" QB, hence the term "elite"

He said what he meant first, then thought he shouldn't completely bury him either out of kindness or to avoid a story.

He wasn't solid, at least by any NFL starting QB standard.

He say no QB after playing with Brady and understanding there is a difference in quality and elite QBs.

Sanchez wasn't the reason they lost those conference title games though. He played good in both games

He played ok. Two good halves out of four. But he held the Jets back during the regular season both years. If Polian doesn't pull Peyton and company they don't even make it in 2009.

Nah dog. He doesnt. idiot shotty didn't help things either, but Sanchez was trash. Bums like Thomas Jones and Shonn Greene were made to look good behind that line.
