Nah chill; loyalty to the squad always comes first but you don't never hate on a player for getting his bread, especially when players get traded or cut and let go just because they don't want to give up the bread in their agreed upon contract.

See: Ware, DeMarcus; Sproles, Darren; Smith, Steve; Revis, Darrelle etc etc.

I'm all for players going to get their bread. ALWAYS.

Even if it's to the fukking Patriots :to:
I agree but he could've stayed with Tampa , gone to the bears , browns or any other random team but NO! He picked the Cheatriots .... That says something:demonic:

I'm heated too that he HAD to pick the Pats but lets remember the way Jets organization stiffed him during contract negotiations. Also, from his perspective, if he's signing one year deals, playing for the Pats/Seahawks/Den/49ers or another super bowl contending team is best for him because he plays more, he's been good at his job so he'll get a chance to make the same, if not more, money in the following contract.

Just look at what happened on the Bucs, the team had a bad year, and people (correction: idiots that don't watch football) started claiming he's over the hill, not as good, washed up, etc. As much as I hate that he went to the Pats, if I were in his position, i wouldn't show no loyalty to teams/organizations that show no loyalty to players (other than maybe at the QB position).

Jets did offer Revis a 10 year 120 million dollar contract in 2010.

I didn't hear about this, but regardless, how much of this proposed deal was guaranteed?

And I bet it was heavily backloaded, and the Jets could've cut him whenever without having to pay every single of that 10 year/120mill. When players hold out for better contracts, they have penalties (loss of salary, loss of bonuses, etc) but organizations don't have any such penalties if they terminate a contract early. And yes I'm aware of the cap hit, but if all the guaranteed money is already paid, then I'm pretty sure there is no cap hit.
