You often hear people say what a horrible decision it was to end the Goldbergs streak. If it wasn't for the finger poke of doom the next night, was it really that horrible of a decision? Nash was a top 5 face in the business. And he didn't beat Goldberg clean so Goldberg maintained that aura of being unbeatable. Obviously the next night completely ruined the whole thing. But if that never happened, was Nash ending the Streak that bad. How would you have ended the Streak.

goldberg should have rightfully been given the 80's hogan push.

just feed him the entire damn roster. all the legends that were past their prime but still had big name value... hogan, savage, luger, sting etc... goldberg could have headlined ppv's with all those guys. they could have kept him busy all through 1999 just by having him beat solidified guys and getting him even more over.

goldberg didn't have to lose a match for like another 2 years.

classic moment.

classic pop.

the same people who are against it in hindsight, are the same people that would say he was over-pushed if his streak continued.

1.) this wasnt the '80s.
2.) it wasnt the wwf or wwf crowds
3.) wcw had the goat roster. it wasnt possible to feed the roster to anybody.

Yes, because the stun gun still happened. I would have had DDP beat him at HH.

I have no problem with the stun gun tho, Goldberg still keeps his unbeatable aura because he wasn't beat clean.
It should have been clean, it was Nash's first title reign and he was/was becoming the top babyface.

He was the perfect person to do it, the streak was beyond played by that point and WCW was already collapsing in ratings, they had to do something because the status quo wasn't working.

Goldberg should feel honored the Kliq ended that run. Nash was also as hot as anyone in the bidness at that time. The problem with streaks is once you take that first L you're done, that's why I never like them. Rusev for example was always going to fall off once he lost, didn't matter that it was CeGOAT, that's the usual neckbeard bytching. Don't build around a gimmick that's guaranteed to fade

Here you go making up shyt:russell:. Nash & the wolfpac were on the same level as Goldberg if not hotter

That weren't outdrawing Goldberg in 98..are u on Crack? Austin was barely ahead of Goldberg...once Goldberg went down, WCW was never the same. The WWF crowd popped bigger for Goldberg and Sting than anyone Vince mentioned in that kick off promo for who they wanted to see in the WWF.

And if the ratings were collapsing like the troll poster is suggesting, they murdered the ratings in January 99 with The Nash and Hogan charade and never recovered.

goldberg was ahead of austin.

i think hes referring to how over the wolfpac was.

case in point, the crowd was behind nash.
