Most of the terrible decisions can be chalked up to how people might react in a state of panic. I mean, shyt.. I can't say for sure what I'd do if a spaceship blew up and was tumbling towards me..

not really. i mean the only thing that bothered me was the random independent day sacrifice at the end, other than that most of it made sense to me. examples please ???

building the Prometheus ship which cost trillions in r&d has no offense fukking weaponry at all!!! 
the owner bishop weylund faking his death but hiding in a stasis pod on the ship the entire time... Man don't even get me started on this movie again. They had the potential to do a true prequel and Damien Lindeloff (Lost show runner) had to go and fukk it up like he always does. The OG script was amazing.
