Nas doesn't have great stories like those.

Nas' music>>>>>>>>> all that, but I can see where your going with this post. Nas' tracks aren't as good as those songs you mentioned as the actual "plot" and "stories" of those tracks is better. But no other rapper can take the English language and depict a scene as clear and vivid as Nasir Jones.

shyts unbelievable, just turn on "Drunk by Myself" and close your eyes it seems like your there riding wit that nikka through every twist and turn. Imo nobody else in the history of rap can lay claim to that.

looking at that list, Get Down is my favorite that song is both fun and vivid

Undying Love was a great story...p*ssy Kills was...The Set Up was...Get Down was...Blaze a 50 was...Body in A Trunk was...I Gave You Power was brilliant use of personification..Surviving The Times...thing about Nas is that he tells stories a lot within even tracks that are not necessarily storytelling tracks...such as One Love..dude is a prolific storyteller...whether ur a fan of the stories or not is all opinion and up to u...but to say he's not great at it based off that isn't fair...nobody is gonna like everything...u have to be able to appreciate some things from afar...

I agree with you about the actuall "stories" but Nas brings so much more it's no competition. And as far as "song" quality I don't think those you mentioned are that great. I'd take jay with "Meet the parents" over all of that

I like the beat, seems like it's building up for the big twist at the end, goes perfect with the lyrics imo.
