OK but they did pick him up. If you're not gonna put him in when you're down 10 points with 10:00 to go and your QB looks lost and rattled, then WHY even get him?

If you're picking him up, you're making a conscious decision to never go back to Geno with Vick being a safety net to somewhat salvage the season (which if it hasn't hit them already, the season's 3 weeks away from being finished). This isn't like baseball where you're going to your closer to save the game. If you can't trust your franchise QB to win you a game while trailing, you don't have a franchise QB, and in Rex's case, he's not gonna get another chance to coach one here.

Vick with the jets defense is a winning recipe, he never played with a defense like that, who could bail him out from his mistakes

The Jets' defense isn't that good. The Jets' D can't ever force a turnover, they give up critical 3rd down plays, and their secondary and linebackers (outside of Davis) get burned plenty. They stop the run. That's about it.

I get Vick has had bad seasons but he's also had some really good seasons and has turned a team around once before. Like we have actual proof that at times Vick can absolutely ball out for more than half a season. Which Geno hasn't shown....

Vick is an inaccurate, turnover prone QB with poor pocket presence. There's no upside to him at this point. He had better weapons in Philly and still failed. Geno has pocket passing potential.

The Jets' D has been more than complicit in these L's. Geno has a lot to do with this, but so does the defense. This isn't like when Fez was here and he sucked while the D was playing lights out.

If you think Vick's gonna come in, run for 80 yards a game, revert Chris Johnson back to CJ2K and turn Greg Salas into DeSean Jackson, good luck, but that's not a Vick problem. That's on Idzik. All Vick would be is a band-aid on cancer because you now know you need a brand new QB moving forward.

Rex is a shythead of a coach, and it sadly took the Jets 6 years to finally notice that.

Is Geno really the big problem, sure he sucked, but once again the Rex Ryan defense let up 20 or more points in a game

Dude is trash, been saying it forever. But Jets fans will always love him, they remember those good times like an abused woman, those first 2 years he was sooooo good to me.
