I feel like if Chief Keef wants to make music, cool. If Rhymefest or whoever wants to speak on it, cool. Whether or not he's right or has an ulterior motive is open to opinion.

One thing though....people keep saying 'fest did this for attention or some kinda career boost....he's been involved with bigger songs than Keef, and had a longer career. Keef barely has a career, he just started. I don't think anybody in their right mind would diss a rapper on Keef's level for some kinda attention.

but, heres the problem.. he didnt..

and, hes not showing any "balls".. like Keon already noted, where was all this conspiracy talk been since his day..? there were artists way bigger than chief keef, who were around in, and before his prime.. he had nothing to say then..

for him to just wake up one day, and think, ":gladbron: im gonna stand up for rap, in the form of Cheif Keef being part of a system to ultimately promote violence and putting people in prison..!!" is ridiculous..

So he should've never opened his mouth if he didn't open it day one is what you're saying...

That's retarded logic that doesn't have anything to do with his actual points. So the message is invalid because he took too long to come out with it...that's implying people can't or aren't allowed to grow.

So what about these reformed criminals and convicts who come out trying to make a difference...too little too late?

And what if he is just trying a publicity stunt, people indulge in sex tapes and "beef" so indulge in some real shyt

The mindset of the misinformed always attacks the messenger and not the message and people fall right for it...disappointing.

I agree this has always existed WAY before Chief Keef and everybody knows and see's this, why single him out and base an entire article around him? This could of been talked about anytime but because its Chief Keef its an easy target.

And I don't even listen to Chief Keef

Why are people acting like this is the first time Rhymefest has spoken out about something?

He ran for office in Chicago a couple years ago.

From 2006.

BBC NEWS | UK | UK Politics | Cameron takes tea with US rapper

Conservative leader David Cameron has met a top-selling hip-hop artist to discuss his comments linking the musical genre with gun crime.
US rapper Rhymefest joined him for a cup of tea at the Commons.

In June, Mr Cameron said some music played on BBC Radio 1 "encourages people to carry guns and knives".

The meeting was held after Rhymefest wrote to the Tory leader. Afterwards the rapper said: "I like Dave for taking a step in the right direction."

Rhymefest, from Chicago, said: "I like Mr Cameron and I agree with some of his comments and disagree with others.

"Discussion is revolution. Discussion is what will solve the problems of poverty and violence."

A Conservative spokeswoman said: "I don't think they are coming from particularly different angles.

"We realise there are responsible rappers out there who understand what David said."

Jimmy Iovine has exploited more innocent children than the Catholic church. Whats funny is, Interscope has been running the exact same game on the culture since NWA and everytime they get called out on it, somebody is hating or creating conspiracies.

:childplease:

its called "good business"..they don't giva fukk about what a person rappin about, if its hot, they're gonna promote it and eat off of it

He's using Keef as a launch point for a discussion cuz their both from the same city. If you look at whats going on in Chicago right now somebody had to speak up. Young people are getting killed every day in Chicago at a time when violence is down in most major cities. We should be applauding him for saying something instead of picking apart the messenger.

This isnt really a shot at Keef, although he did essentially dehumanize him and call him a tool.

there was nothing conspiratorial about what he wrote. if you followed fest's career since becoming known through his work with kanye, you'd know that the dude has run for public office and managed a host of community-oriented projects aimed towards improving the state of chicago. fukk YOU. seriously, i cannot stand shucking and jiving house n*ggers like you who have no problem applauding these agents of black genocide that the music industry pushes. black men are dying by the dozens EVERY week in chicago, and the best that they can find in that city is this illiterate nikka that worships the gang life?

:pacspit:

1. no one follows rhymefest or his career :childplease:

2. how did running for public office work out for him? :childplease:

3. since when is chicago a state? :childplease:

smart dumb cracka, die in a fire fakkit

So would Cornel West be being bitter and feminine if he wrote this
yes
:comeon: Lets keep it G Rhymefest would do a song with Keef to get some buzz he sound like a bitter p*ssy ass nikka.

Let lil bruh have his lane stay in yours nikka.
real nikka shyt

lets be reality tho, chief keef is more popular and relevant than rhymefest ever was

the highlight of rhymefest's career was kanye stealing jesus walks from him and not giving him any credit for it, and only a fraction of a percentage of message board heads even know rhymefest had anything to do with it...for that matter that same fraction of a percentage even know who rhymefest is

meanwhile chief sosa signing multi-million dollar label deals with interscope and selling out shows all over the country right now :king: if i was a dusty 43 year old rhymefest supporting his formaldehyde addiction with College Dropout royalty checks, i'd figure out a way to make keef a symbol for everything wrong with black america too

That must be why so many hot "conscious" artists are out

Like someone else said, they're both from Chicago and with the problems the city is going through, the fact that the 16 year old is signed based off his music talking about killing and dealing bothers him.

The fact that when people talk about him it's that he's 16 and couldn't leave his grandma's house because he's on house arrest for shooting at a cop :krs: or he's signed to this big label deal, but they can't even give dude any type of media training.

He wasn't even going at Keef, but just using him as an example of a way he thinks the system works.
