I really like that 9th always makes his beats with the idea for someone to rap on it. Some of these rhythm roulettes are clear they made a beat with what they could, or tried to do something interesting, and someone rapping on it might not be that easy. Black Milk and 9th both made sure there was room for an emcee on their beats.9th still cold wit it.

I make my beats the same way.
I feel the same about women in hip hop as I do women comedians. There are some good ones out there, but they just don't do much for me. She's obviously very nice, but I just can't really get into her.

I hate to say it but I can relate. Rapsody is the only female emcee I can get into. Main reason is I do think her flow is great and she has dope content, and I like her production. At first it took me a long time but I enjoy her stuff. I liked Jean Grae too. I feel the same on female rappers and female comedians though. I can't think of a single female comedian I enjoy watching in terms of standup, and with female emcees it's really only Rapsody at this point in time. And it sounds messed up but if she was in a different crew I probably would sleep on her and may not have given her a fair listen by now.
Yup Rapsody and Rage are probably the only female emcees I can actually fukk with on the solo tip. Looking forward to her next solo project.

Alc did something similar (pick a random record out of his stash/crates and just start to work on it) before this series existed. but he never did this series (not that i know of at least)I'm pretty sure Alchemist has done it
Edit: on second thought I don't think he has. I must be thinking of a different Alc video

i know 9th do the whole college course thing , wish i could just sit in on one of his classes. I thought Dream merchant 1 & 2 had some of the best beats. Still waiting on them to snatch up Oddisee and a couple of others to do this.
