They were just going to "honor" him by showing and acknowledging him on camera. His pops would just happen to be sitting next to him though

Yep, I could believe it... that's when he was about to clean Bischoff's pockets until they came to terms and he came back.

There was also a time before he made his WWF debut that he was looking to come there... when Turner purchased NWA and made it WCW in '88, and shyt started going haywire and everyone was leaving. He was basically helping to hold it together until that last fallout with Herd in '91, but he had been wanting to leave for almost two years prior.
