So in retrospect when we look at the original article, and the actual transcript, its obvious Sherman got duped into providing a quote for the writer.

Re read the original article again, sherman has one paragraph. Take out his paragraph, the rest of the story is the POV of the writer. Sherman's quote provides the article credibility. It takes it from an "opinion" piece to a "description of life in the NFL."

Obviously, I didn’t do anything, but you have to go through a process to prove you didn’t do anything. There are still naysayers out there who don’t believe me. But I accept it. If you’re the president, if you’re anybody of importance or with any kind of fame or notoriety, there are going to be a lot of people who don’t like what you do, who don’t support you. And you have to embrace it. You have to almost accept that there’s going to be naysayers for everything. If everybody says ‘I love you’ you’re probably not doing much.”

Again, speaking as someone who uses it I don't experience quicker reflexes, faster reaction time, or delusions of grandeur.

I also had no idea that an increased metabolism increases athletic ability to make one jump higher and run faster but I'll take your word for it.
