Everybody ahead of Stafford in career passing yards and TD's is either already in the HOF , will be going to the HOF (Brady, Brees, Ben) or borderline (HOF) and he got a ring. He's going to the hall I don't know why people are really so up in arms over this
This is a pitiful argument to make for the HOF but this is era we're in -- funny money stats rule the day

Wining a Super Bowl in the most watered down league year in last 20 years doesn't mean shyt when talking about the HOF. Despite the league being average, Stafford was not great during the regular season or playoffs, not to mention he played in a dome.

You nikkas always fall for the okie doke with these QBs man. Stafford ain't no HOF ... fukk outa here :laff:

The names ahead of him: Brady, Brees, Peyton, Favre, Rothlisberger, Rivers, Marino, Rodgers, Elway, Eli, and Tarkenton. He could potentially end his career with 60K passing yards and over 400 TD's.

Only 7 QB's have done that and only 6 have done that and won a ring. He's getting in

vs

4886 Yards

:pachaha: I don't think he does either....he has numbers, but they have to materialize from something like awards, winning records, multiple playoff appearances etc...his numbers are fluff imo...alot of "empty calorie" stats from a losing record. He just doesn't have it

Now if he can put together a string of playoff appearances, a few all pros, pro bowls and another chip...i think he does...but right now? nah people are living in the moment

Bringing up MVP or Superbowl MVP are straw men as far as I'm concerned

1 only one man wins the MVP per year, if that was the criteria for getting into the Hall, it would be a small hall
2 Superbowl is one game, and depending on the circumstance..and who the team's are focusing on stopping ANYBODY can step up during the game to win it

That may be true, but has Stafford ever been in MVP consideration?

If its not about stats, then how are you quantifying who is better? Wins? Playoff success? Gut feeling? Madden rating?

Break it down

I'm talking right now. And yeah, based on the 'consistency route', he has a way in, but he'd still be sitting at the little kids HOF table if he got in.

Only issue with the "Well, by the end of his career, this guy could have 90k bazillion yards and a billion TDs" argument is that you have a slew of QB coming up putting up same inflated stats, and all them won't get in.

It’s all those things….

What Stafford has done to this point to me is not HOF worthy….

He needs to do more

My standards are different though I take this HOF shyt serious :hubie:
