Yall nikkas need to understand the fact he played for the lions. He get double points for that. All he has to do now is to play well for 3-4 years to erase all the doubts.

So barring drastic cliff or injury he will get in. Prolly 3rd or 4th ballot

Too many of y'all unknowingly using basketball POVs to water down the NFL HOF.

This SB metric thing that happens every year is the NBA rings argument seeping into the sport.

Stop being afraid of placing guys in the hall of very good. Not everyone is a generational talent.
They know better. The rings argument has only ever mattered among all time greats anyway. And is really tied to situational performances. Stafford was never in that conversation.

You couldn't name more than 25% of NFL HOFers, without google, off the top of your head. :camby:

Its not legendary, it is who was an all time great.

Cortez Kennedy is not a legend. Jackie Smith is not a legend. Gary Zimmerman is not a legend. Andre Tippett is not a legend.
Cortez was dpoy on a 2-14 team and one of the better dts we've seen

I’m not dissing Kennedy or saying he don’t deserve to be in the HOF.

But when we talk about the games legends, his name don’t come up.

Megatron played for the Lions, but he has WR records and was either the best or one of the best WRs in the league. Barry Sanders played for the Lions, and he’s arguably the best RB of all time. Is Stafford or was he ever considered even the best QB in the league?

If he plays 5 more years and averages 36 tds and 4000 yards he'll have 70k+ and 500+, which is right around Favre and Manning, with only Brady and Brees ahead of him. It's not completely outlandish that he could play until like 41, 42 and retire as the all time career leader in passing TDs and yards.

5 years is a really LONG time breh and to AVERAGE 36TDs (a number he's only reached 3 times in 13 seasons) over that span, at his age...:usure:

You cannot say the Super Bowl win gives him a HOF nod when he didn’t even win the SB MVP. I feel like I’m living in crazy town right now listening to people even suggest he belongs. :what:

I mean, hoe many mvps went to qbs who barely did anything? Y’all have some ridiculous metrics.

Exactly. QBs get everything in this era. The truly great ones have racked up accolades and done great things. The ones that aren’t obviously great in this era have been awarded as such. Stafford’s personal accolades literally consists of 1 Pro Bowl appearance. Stop it, dawg.

Eli has two super bowl mvps with pedestrian numbers. Brady threw for 200 yards and won mvp.

staffird will get there if he plays at a high level with an actual good team the next 5 years. Dude played in the same conference as Brees and Rodgers, not gonna make many pro bowls. Has a better chance now. He just needs to keep up his play and he will get there. A guy with 500 tds and 4 pro bowls doesn’t deserve to be in the HOF?

Also thr pro bowl metric is a little skewed. He has had pro bowl worthy seasons without getting the nod when we see scrubs make it for 20 TDS. Imagine 2 seasons with 41 TDs and no pros bowl. One with Detroit too. Yea Calvin helps but do do Moss, Rice, TO, etc
