Is Trent Dilfer a HOFer??
I'm pretty sure most QBs in the HOF has won either a MVP or SB MVP
Sherman has a better case than Stafford and probably will make it.Well, neither is Richard Sherman![]()

He played in Detroit tho, don’t act like he was playing with all pro talent.. Only cat he really had was Megatron

he was the best cb for a stretch on one of the best defensive teams ever. all decade team 5 time all pro 5 pro bowl and he won a SB. he’s a lock. wont take him long to get in eitherDefinitely not a lock imo
Not to mention, he played 6 seasons with Megatron, 4 of them were with Jim Schwartz as HC (he never sniffed another head coaching job) and then Megatron retired after 2 seasons with Jim Caldwell. The Lions still made the playoffs twice and had a winning record under Caldwell. Then the fired him and hired Matt Patricia for 3 seasons. That's the entirety of Stafford's time with the lions.
HoF players elevate rosters…this dude never elevated any team, not even the rams any of the top ~15 qbs would’ve won with this team.
You dudes hopping on a bandwagon and did not watch stafford play, I watched him and like I stated before…no one ever looked at any team Matthew stafford was on and thought “damn Matt is about to kill us“ never once.
Even in the sb he was far from the best performance on the team.
People making these arguments couldn’t have watched him play. Good qbs on bad teams still show out, he actively lost Detroit hella games so cut blaming the talent. Most of his stats came from light defenses in garbage time with him trying to come back because they were out of the game 90% of the time, with most of that due to his inconsistent play….
