Bringing up MVP or Superbowl MVP are straw men as far as I'm concerned

1 only one man wins the MVP per year, if that was the criteria for getting into the Hall, it would be a small hall
2 Superbowl is one game, and depending on the circumstance..and who the team's are focusing on stopping ANYBODY can step up during the game to win it

SB MVP can be overrated no doubt. For the MOST part, it's good, but there have been a lot of :patrice: MVPs especially lately.

League MVP is over the course of the whole season, I put way more stock in that. Playoffs are one and done.

You got to be legend to be in the HOF. You have to be an all time great you can’t have one without the other
You couldn't name more than 25% of NFL HOFers, without google, off the top of your head. :camby:

Its not legendary, it is who was an all time great.

Cortez Kennedy is not a legend. Jackie Smith is not a legend. Gary Zimmerman is not a legend. Andre Tippett is not a legend.

Big Ben never won any of them and will easily get in
Ben played in 3 SBs, and has multiple playoff victories. He was also in top 5 conversations for several years. He was regularly in the discussion after Brady, Brees and Manning. Stafford wasn’t in those. Ben made 6 pro bowls and was offensive rookie of the year.

Honestly I have way more respect for RIchard Sherman putting this out there....him and Deion are the only 2 that i know of to put it out there on front street

And alot of HOFers feel the same, but they don't want to break this code of speaking up and preventing someone from getting in....but something has to be said...the shyt is becoming meaningless now...seems like every QB who wins a SB or wins a SBMVP (which is a candy cane ass award imo) is considered (like Julian Edelman) or if you racked up a bunch of accumulation stats but were never considered top tier, then you're in the running (Frank Gore, ELi Manning, Matt Stafford, Phillip Rivers etc etc).

anyway here's what Deion had to say about ELi Manning getting in the HOF:

"What is a Hall of Famer now? Is it a guy who played a long time?” Sanders said. “It’s so skewed now. Once upon a time, a Hall of Famer was a player who changed the darn game, who made you want to reach in your pocket and pay your admission to see that guy play. That’s not a Hall of Famer anymore. Every Tom, dikk and Harry, you’re a Hall of Famer, you’re a Hall of Famer, you’re a Hall of Famer. They let everybody in this thing. It’s not exclusive anymore. And I don’t like it.”

Although Sanders didn’t want to name any specific players who he thinks have watered down the Hall of Fame, when Patrick asked him about Eli Manning, Sanders answered, “You get the point.”

Deion Sanders' support of Eli Manning seems to stop at Hall of Fame

You right. I messed up it was OPOY.

True. But Ben also won multiple rings and made 6 Pro Bowls to Stafford’s one.

To me Ben's second ring looks a lot like Staffords ring this year (defense won the game, QB made a clutch TD drive at the end). Ben's first ring, he went 9/21 for 0tds, 2ints and a 22.6 passer rating. Literally one of the weakest rings of any QB ever. If Stafford gets another ring with a performance like that, is that going help his case by much?

The pro bowls I put zero stock in. Ben made it in 2011 with 21 tds 14 ints and 4077 yards. Stafford didn't make it the same year with 41 tds, 16 ints and 5038 yds

Ben made it again in 2015 with 21 tds and 16 ints. Stafford didn't make it this year with 41tds 17ints :skip:

Really and truly, I’ve never thought all that highly of Ben. I’m basing what I think of Stafford’s HOF chances by the voters behavior

He’s right but you gotta look at the guys already in. His numbers hold up. He will get in if he plays another 5 years putting up 4800 yards 35-40 TDs a season.

folk wanna talk rings when judging a qb but when it comes to a qb they’re not dunking with that shyt changes.

Andre Tippet doesn’t belong in there either he was nothing but a fake Lawrence Taylor
