I wonder if Martin will go for the jugular or take the settlement.
If he decides to go after the NFL, I'm sure he can be a spokesman for some anti-bullying campaign.

Whats the jugular in this tho?The Dolphins might get sued something serious but the NFL?One of the most powerful businesses in America. How much you think he can make?

yea i told yall how it was weird that every player was riding for incognit0. Even the "sources" sided with him too. It makes you think that the reason why J.Martin resorted to this is b/c the whole locker room seemed to be against him.

Have you had enough of the Jonathan Martin-Richie Incognito saga yet? Too bad. It's not going anywhere, especially with the explosive statement released Thursday by David Cornwell, an attorney hired to represent Martin in the harassment matter.

Cornwell made an emphatic point, via Pro Football Talk, that Martin's "toughness is not an issue" and then later slammed the door with an allegation that a player said rather ... aggressive things about Martin's sister.

"Jonathan Martin’s toughness is not at issue," Cornwell said. “Jonathan has started every game with the Miami Dolphins since he was drafted in 2012. At Stanford, he was the anchor for Jim Harbaugh’s ‘smash mouth’ brand of football and he protected Andrew Luck’s blind side."

Cornwell described Martin's harassment as something "far beyond" what normally happens in NFL locker rooms.

"Jonathan endured harassment that went far beyond the traditional locker room hazing,” Cornwell said. “For the entire season-and-a-half that he was with the Dolphins, he attempted to befriend the same teammates who subjected him to the abuse with the hope that doing so would end the harassment. This is a textbook reaction of victims of bullying. Despite these efforts, the taunting continued. Beyond the well-publicized voice mail with its racial epithet, Jonathan endured a malicious physical attack on him by a teammate, and daily vulgar comments such as the quote at the bottom. These facts are not in dispute."

That quote? It is a doozy, coming from an unnamed teammate, and it involves some highly inappropriate things directed towards Martin's sister.

"We are going to run train on your sister. ... She loves me. I am going to f*** her without a condom and c** in her c***."

Say whatever you want about things that happen in locker rooms, or even between friends. Saying something like that is incredibly inappropriate and completely unacceptable.

Cornwell's clearly not afraid to stir things up and he's done just that with his Thursday statement about Martin's situation.

And the story turns again. Thought Martin was being a punk, but this is on some other shyt!!!
That ain't no toughening up! He going up against an organization, getting out was the right thing.

Why they getting at Martin like that? He would be fine in another locker room cause that not how things go down to those extreme levels.

He gets other players to open up a can of worms on hazing, and have a long drawn out legal battle.
Basically the CTE situation, if the players never settler. I'm sure there's some anti-bullying organization who can make a name for themselves off this.

The Dolphins players are upset with Martin because he took the shyt public. Martin did break the code but he obviously felt like he had no choice. Martin has played too much football in his life to not understand what he was doing. This was going to happen in our ultra-hyper media cycle that takes situations like this and rips the scab open and refuses to allow them to heal. Personally, I don't care who Incognito was. I would have busted his ass simple and plain. But Martin is a kid and I think people are forgetting that. The Dolphins are foul for riding with Incocknito and I have a lot of ties to Miami on a college level. Protecting your own means many, many things. Most importantly, it means knowing when to leave a kid alone and make him feel accepted. How can you have Incocknito's back when he's not even a Dolphins cornerstone? He's been all over the league and he's been an a$$hole at every stop of his career.

Smh if y'all haven't peeped what's really going on and at stake.

I will say cognito is being used as a scapegoat. He did nothing that wasn't acceptable to his PEERS except for one guy.

I'm not mad at Martin either cos I see what he's doing and he's brilliant for it. Unless the NFL lawyer up with some heavyweights...this nikka bout to dig in them old cacs pockets!

He wasn't beastin at LT and knew his big pay days were over. He saw this opportunity a while back. Its the only reason he kept the messages. Remember bullying has been in the public eye for a while!

Martin and his parents bout to shake up the very fabric of football and many other sport lockerrooms. Because this has been going on, accepted and promoted for a long time.

He know he will never play football again...LOL...he thinking bout OWNING a football team!!!

So half nikka you a p*ssy...but you bout to be a filthy rich p*ssy!!!

Got a point :ehh: sad thing is there can be so many anti-bullying campaigns but bullying will never stop.Whats funny is if Martin walks away with a huge sum he may look like a punk in most people and players eyes but this would be a landmark case in not only NFL but in sports. Best believe his lawyer will have a name too.

I'd guess youre hearing more windbags talk about endzone dancing than Incognito mostly because Incognito's been clean seemingly for a while now.

:usure:

Trip... as the Black Israelites say to random black men passing by: come home brother

It doesn't matter how long he has been "clean" just as it has never mattered how long on whether some garden variety clown like Chad Johnson is "dirty." Those assessments exist to be validated by convenient logic. On both sides. And I know you know as much. I know this because I do not believe you would spend time posting on this message board as opposed to others if you didn't know as much. I know you see Chad Johnson being grilled for dancing and then Brett Favre being celebrated and tossed softballs as the next guest on the same show. I know you see Charlie Sheen and Robert Downey having issues with drugs, prostitution and whatever else and the housewives still cheering for them when they hit the daytime talkshow circuit while any black dude who does the same gets an inescapable label.

If Martin was a white dude descended from three generations of Ivy Leaguers those guys would dislike his act just as much. They hate everything the Ivy League stands for because they feel it breeds opportunists like Martin. Well Oreilly at least....dont think Ive ever listened to Limbaugh honestly.

O'Reilly is an Ivy Leaguer. So are many of the power elite on both sides of the aisle. When I see cats like Sharpton, I recognize a charlatan right off the bat. You telling me you don't have the same vision on your side of things? Limbaugh and O'Reilly would pounce on this for the same reason they pounce on whatever else they do. Stop it.

The story was always in his favor. Incognito already had a reputation as a dirty player.
