It's sort of underwhelming

It's not a bad album but it's not living up to all the hype. Black Dollar is right there with it..

Exactly my point, it's kinda underwhelming... some of the songs was nice like the mariah carey joint, and the nas song but it's.......

I dont know, what it is but I'm missing that feeling the first albums had trap, hood, whatever, it's missing something for me.....

Like i could listen to port of miami and wild out and shyt but the tracks for this shyt is mediocre in my book... sorry to rain on your parade alot of artists dont have that fire when they like 5 albums in anymore... idk...

It's cool to add another solid release to an excellent year but it's middle of the pack when I think about all the other projects.

It's not better than Wale & Meek's albums that dropped earlier this year.

I think Ross should've surprised us with a double album out of the blue. It would've stuck different... Felt different...

The roll out for an album is just as important as the album. This is what took away from "The Album About Nothing".


The way Black Dollar came out of no where was excellent execution. Nobody expected it and it was a good body of work...

"Carol City" go. That and "Smile Mama, Smile" are the only tracks I really fukk wit. "Money Dance" too, but that was on "Black Dollar".

i thnk its better than meek's album. meek to me has just never been that great a rapper. while ross continues to get better w/ each release. u can tell dude really has a love for the music and the culture. i appreciate the focus on rhymes. there r a few tracks toward the end here that hurt the album. i thought it had been proven u dont need the obvious single or commercial song to sell nowadays...john legend was so amazing on the intro i went and got his last album.

They create lane for the artist

Come on now you have to be kidding.rap "fans" are not buying rap albums like that. Rap/hip hop is the most illegal downloading genre, make about 71% of illegal music download. damn shame


Now cole rise didnt start until Ferguson and twitter socialist (backed by his label ) prop him to a top artist which was promo and marketing done by the label gearing him as the people champ


Its not only about the music its the team behind the artist


Its wasnt that much cole fans a year ago. All fetty wop has is music/voice/style, artist need something else that can capture the audience personally


But even so cole is on major and what he/label did at the end of last year saved him. marketing him as the man of the people


Going to the music cole been mediocre for his standing as the goat of the generation. He doesn't have a album that embodied the era or change the culture, im a cole from the beginning and I can honestly say how can you rank him up with giants? I talking mad shyt about kdot but I get it from section 80 and GKMC (that butterfly shyt is trash tho)
