Management deals are the wave now. These young niggs are realizing they can run it up without the major label shenanigans.

Case in point Veeze. He had prolly the hottest rap song of the summer "not a fire drill" on his very own. When the labels saw what his Ganger tape did without them came crawling to his feet. Warner Bros gave him a master p/birdman type partnership deal. MILLIONS

See the thing is if u prove u can collect a hefty bag without major labels they'll come crawling for business. Because they know you and them together can guarantee millions
.
And that nikka wasn’t getting no play in Detroit until recently. He a plant to me but he been lurking around them circles for years now.

"I'm milking Def Jam until i'm the 100 millon man'' - Jay-Z

Guess artists let these labels blow the bag and they couldn't keep up.

Junkie Russell Simmons should’ve had Def Jam being a family/close circle run powerhouse label for decades upon decades.

Instead, he wanted to play grab ass with women (and men :dame:) while sniffing mountains of cocaine. He let white men take it from him, drain all the money from it and leave it a shell of itself.

Let this be a lesson to all of yall cheering artists selling off their masters and IP. Russell sold his share of Def Jam back in the 90s for $100 million and fast forward today he’s chasing around his ex-wife begging for money while not being able to support his children.

Protect your neck (and your nose) :francis:

Record labels in general are dying. Once they decided Artist Development don't matter, they became glorified ad agencies for artists.

And with social media, you don't need no one raiding your pockets to get global exposure.

That's why Roc Nation running shyt. They're management.

After WavyNavy he waited almost 4 years to drop Ganger. If you ask me he played the game smart and let his momentum build. He makes moves like a seasoned industry exec so I could see why you think he is a plant. But nah he ain't a plant, he just plays the game well.
